Report: Trail Running Camp – Autumn 2016

When you plan an outdoor weekend in the UK, you’re at the mercy of the weather gods, especially in Wales! Throw into the mix a rugged location, hills and off-road running and you could be in for a brutal few days. However, for the second year in a row the conditions did not disappoint, with pine forestry offset by moorland, blue sky and whisps of white cloud – the perfect backdrop for the group to stretch their trail legs.

Conditions underfoot were still challenging with a comprehensive mix of terrain including bogs, grassland, gravelled forestry roads, flowing single-track and mud. Below are the vital stats for the weekend. Well done to everyone for working outside their comfort zones, helping make the event a success, and getting off the mountain in one piece (just about).
